Aguada - Caguas 100-79

Aguada dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Criollos' 26 and made 21-of-22 free shots (95.5 percent) during the game. The winners were led by American guard Sheldon Mac (196-1992, college: Miami, FL, agency: Slash Sports) who scored that evening 33 points (!!!) and 4 assists (made all of his seven free throws) and the other American import John Meeks (197-1999, college: Charleston) supported him with 28 points. Even 19 points by American point guard Travis Trice II (183-1993, college: Michigan St.) did not help to save the game for Criollos. Point guard Luis Rivera (180-1998) added 14 points for lost side. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.

Piratas looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. The winners were led by DR Congolese point guard Emmanuel Mudiay (196-1996) who scored that evening 22 points and 8 assists and American center Tai Odiase (206-1995, college: UIC) supported him with 24 points and 6 rebounds. Even 20 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists (made all of his seven free throws) by American Brandon Goodwin (188-1995, college: FGCU) did not help to save the game for Gigantes. Naturalized American center Julian Torres (206-1997, college: LSUA) added 12 points and 5 rebounds for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest.

Osos dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Capitanes' 34. Osos shot the lights out from three sinking 18 long-distance shots on high 62.1 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 32 assists comparing to just 18 passes made by Capitanes' players. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Norris Cole (188-1988, college: CSU) who helped to win the game recording 31 points and 9 assists. The other American import guard Alex Morales (198-1997, college: Wagner) contributed with 19 points, 7 assists and 5 steals for the winners. American point guard David Stockton (180-1991, college: Gonzaga) replied with 32 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and Nigerian-American center Jahlil Okafor (211-1995, college: Duke) added 19 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists in the effort for Capitanes. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.

Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Kenneth Faried (203-1989, college: Morehead St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points and 20 rebounds and the former international point guard Jezreel De Jesus (185-1991, agency: Interperformances) who added 26 points and 4 assists (made all of his seven free throws) during the contest. Four Leones players scored in double figures. At the losing side American swingman Deonte Burton (193-1994, college: Iowa St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 10 rebounds and the former international Jaysean Paige (188-1994, college: WVU) scored 9 points and 7 assists. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game.
